Love is like War

Love is like a war that never ever ends
it resides in one's heart and soul ravaging
Yet it is a war with oneself which sends
the other partner sadness and limping

It calls and yearns as strong as bee to honey
in absence, it's just pain and great despair
Neither material nor as evil as paper money
though the physical presence is enough to pair

Unlike wars of the past and present times
it is a war of self, a war where self hurt reigns
These were never seen or objected as of crimes
its effects of the afflicted runs deep beneath

Come to me my devoted one, with just oars
Together lets make mastery of our self-wars
